When we first started to plan our backpacking journey, travel insurance was the last thing on our minds. We were too busy thinking about our passports, visas, leaving our jobs, selling our house and everything else you could think of when you decide to leave the country for 6 months. We still have the mentalities of young millennials who don't really think about going to the doctor until they are coughing up blood. How did we travel the world and not resort to asking our family and friends for money or even cutting our trip short? Well here are a few tips on how we saved money while traveling and were able to make the most of our backpacking adventure.
